Niagara Falls Thunder is a break of eight years on the road even for a franchise in the Ontario Hockey League began as the Windsor Spitfires traveled in 1946-1947. The Spitfires club has no relation to the current team that plays in Windsor. The Thunder played between 1988-89 and 1995-96. Previously the team was known as Hamilton Steel Hawks. Bryan played four seaons in the OHL 1985-86 to 1988-89. He played his first three years with the Kingston Canadians. He played 156 NHL regular season games between 1989-90 and 1994-95 with the Quebec Nordiques, Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens.
The following season, Keith Primeau won the Eddie Powers Trophy with 127 points, eight ahead of Paul DiPietro of the Sudbury Wolves. Keith has played three seasons in the OHL 1987-88 to 1989-90, all with the franchise, even though his first season was the Hawks Steel. In 1989-1990 the thunder went on in sixth place in Emms division. Niagara Falls is exceeded, so that the Robertson Cup semi-finals before bowing to the Kitchener Rangers in five games.
The Detroit Red Wings selected Primeau third in the NHL draft in 1990. Keith has played 909 NHL games in the regular season between 1990-91 and 2005-06 with the Red Wings, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers.
In 1991-1992, Todd Simon has recorded 146 points to capture the Eddie Powers Trophy, twelve point lead over Brett Seguin of Ottawa 67th Simon has three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League played 1989-90 to 1991-92, all of Niagara Falls. The Thunder found their way back to second place in the Emms Division and once in the Robertson Cup semi-finals of the Sault Ste lost. Marie Greyhounds in five games.
Todd was a ninth round selection of the Buffalo Sabres in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, 203 a whole. He played only 15 NHL games, all with the Sabres in 1993-94. It has a long professional career in the minors in North America and Europe.
